30th Anniversary Edition of Off The Wall to be released in February Sony BMG Australia has confirmed to Maximum Jackson that Off The Wall 30th Anniversary will be released in Feb 2009.
No other details about Michael's involvement or the content of the edition are known at this point. Details will be posted as they come to light. and no, it won't be getting the "remix" treatment that Thriller recieved Bboy87, Timmy84, LittleBlueCorvette, MuthaFunka, phunkdaddy, and Christopher: the revamped nWo!

He reportedly requested that there'll be remixes on the album and to include some of the artists on the re-release. Sony originally wanted to do what they're probably going to do for Off the Wall. I know re-releases of MJ albums are a pain but I just think this album was far too important to be overlooked. NOW if they DO release anniversaries of Bad, Dangerous and HIStory, I'm gonna flip off. Why wasn't the remastered edition enough? The 25th anniversary of Thriller was justified because it's still the best selling album in the world after all, but OTW was nowhere near from that, and after a remastered edition and a string of compilations including the 4 singles, re-releasing it again is just pathetic.
