i don't think it's cool or uncool to like keane. i think they're a group who, if you say you like them, people will just kind of shrug and go "huh". shrug

I find them very uncool.....for me it is ok to be a band without a guitarplayer, but it is not okay to reproduce the sound of guitar out of a keyboard/computer and add it to the songs.....

The singer is a wuss.....

I guess I don't like 'em!

let's put it this way. if i were getting on a crowded bus and there were only two seats left, and i had to choose between sitting next to someone in a keane t-shirt or someone in a nickelback t-shirt, i would so totally sit next to the person in the keane t-shirt. even if they smelled bad.

if it were henry rollins himself, i'd sit next to him and make unwelcome sexual advances. otherwise, i'd sit next to the keane t-shirt person.

I like Keane, but not as much as I think I do. That probably doesn't make much sense. Some of their songs I really like ("Everybody's Changing," "Bend and Break," "She Has No Time," "Somewhere Only We Know," "Is It Any Wonder?"), but the rest seem to be forgotten right after I listen to them. The new album didn't leave much of an impression on the first listen and the second one was quickly forgotten. Still, "Everybody's Changing" alone is enough to justify the band's existence.

I like some of their songs quite a bit. I don´t own any albums though.

And yes, I have heard before that liking Keane is not cool, but who the fuck cares? neutral

yeah, though the kaiser chiefs seem kinda poseur-ish as well as boring.

at least keane is just straight-up boring with no chaser of pretense. i'll give them points for that.

boxed I like the Kaiser Chiefs. The first album was good in a straightforward British pub band kinda way.

Keane make me think of that fucking awful movie about the folksinger and the girl who followed him around with a vacuum cleaner.

name one good new British band (say, one that came up within the last 2 years) that is exceptionally good and not overhyped.....I'm glad Oasis came with a new respectable album (I'm not a fan though), to show these kids how it is to be done.....not even starting about Radiohead, which is a whole different league!
