Never got to hear "Call On Me", until a few years back...one of those Motown archive recordings that didn't get released until decades later....this is the original 1973 mix ( a different, "updated" and overdubbed mix was released in the 80's...) ... Me, too! Yeah, I prefer the original mix. It's on the double disc set Anthology: The Best Of Michael Jackson along with a few other tracks in their original form. Good stuff. "Shake yer reptile, baby!" | |

I like the 1973 mix of "Call On Me" too. I think the first time it was released was in 1984 on Farewell My Summer Love, with some cheesy 80s synth overdubs that don't really mesh with the original instrumentation. | |
