http://omg.yahoo.com/phot...94?nc#id=1 she's always had some questionalble fashion. You ain't lying. These costumes kill me. And that tiny sailor hat is a thorn in my side. Not only do I not care for the actual design they just look cheap. As I said before, my all time favorite Janet outfit is the cream getup with that white hat. Ovah. As sailor outfits go, the one I adore to this day was for another artist and that was designed by D&G. Loved it. Actually, I loved most of the outfits from that tour. D&G do great tour costumes. what they've done for Kylie was hot too! it is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. I haven't seen Kylie live (yet) but I had great seats for The Girlie Show and I swear the outfits--sailor suit, emcee tuxedo getup or whatever and a few others--it just looked superior. It looked like a damn fashion show when she came down the aisle. "I do not understand how anyone not named Grace Jones was ever allowed to think of themselves as "fierce." - Sasha Frere-Jones

We could talk about the great reviews the tour is getting, or how she's selling out dates. But no, let's bitch about the clothes!

maybe she on a budget

Madonna's worn fug ass clothing on tour before (The Girlie Show had great costumes? Seriously?!?!?!), Michael Jackson's worn fug ass clothing on tour before, Kylie Minogue's worn fug ass clothing on tour before, Mariah Carey's worn nothing BUT fug ass clothing on tour before....the list goes on and on. Tour clothing is meant to be comfortable and flashy, not something that looks chic in a still shot. People bitched when Janet wore jeans and a tank top on tour, now it's this. now see y'all got VC mad- i'm witcha on that- leave janet alone- if she wanna look like a 1970's star trek rummage sale that's her gatdang perogative I bought tickets and imma love every minute of it- and when that ish is on sale at the salvation army- imma buy one and wear it If you have to do something kicking and screaming and tearing down others with your "self love" words- maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place.

I don't see Madonna's fans whining about that horrible white-and-puprle unitard she wore on the Confessions tour (well, hey, maybe they think it's haute couture) - probably because it didn't make a fucking difference in the quality of the show! And neither do Janet's costumes.

Donatella doesn't have half the talent her brother had so saying she designed the show doesn't mean much to me it is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them.

Diff'rent strokes - I think the vast majority of tour clothing is cheesy shit, but it doesn't affect my concert experience on way or the other. Donatella doesn't have half the talent her brother had so saying she designed the show doesn't mean much to me
Please note that my comment was related to cost, not taste. [Edited 9/19/08 15:42pm]

Please note that my comment was related to cost, not taste. cost don't mean shit if it looks like shit. even the spice girls managed a better look for the road than Janet. it is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. Artists who don't dance in concert obviously have a much wider range of clothing choices. But hey, must be a good concert if people are complaining about the clothing. It's always gonna be *something*. [Edited 9/19/08 15:47pm]
