Yes it was, and on sax, is the great David Sanborn. Incidentally, Whitney's mother Cissy is also on the track and it was Luther who help David arrange the background vocals.

love him. love the song. it's one of my perennial favorites whenever i go out to a bar with a jukebox.

never been crazy about that particular performance, though.

Love the whole album. I'm in the absolute minority with this I guess, but my least favorite songs are Win and Fame.
