WEEZER

really digging this album lately, Rivers Cuomo writes some good pop-/rocksongs!

It's a good album and it's the first time in forever where it actually sounds like the Weezer i used to love and Rivers sings like he used to. Definitely one of their better albums. Heart songs is really wonderful.

Heart Songs is great, truely beautiful! The other songs make me want to sing along in Weezer kind of way.....I'm not much of a singer but Weezer always seems to get me singing! lol

What is going on with the old rumored collaborations with Matt Sharp? Did that ever pan out, or did they try it and decide there was nothing there?

This would be one of those bands that I feel like I should love, but just don't get at all. It's too jokey, too ironic, like a hipster Blink 182

I've never really delved into Weezer, but I enjoy a few of their singles a great deal -- namely, "Undone (The Sweater Song)," "Island in the Sun," "Buddy Holly," and "Say It Ain't So." Those alone make them a billion times better than Blink-182.

Yeah their last album Make Believe was their weakest. Way too angsty for my liking. The new one is worth hearing as Rivers lets the other members take lead vocals for several songs. Their best since Pinkerton IMO.

I like it too - a fun listen. Looks like they are still working a bit with Rick Rubin as well.
