How sad is this?

My madonna collection consists of:

Erotica
Ray of Light
American Life

Plus the Beautiful Stranger and Music singles. It isn't that I'm not a fan of her music. Love her immensely, although I'm not quite a stalker lol I guess there is so much out there that it feels like a tidal wave to invest in her body of work. I love nearly all of it so it wouldn't be like I wouldn't enjoy it.

I'm Madonna challenged exclaim

I stay Woke.

In the 80s I had her tapes but for some reason I never bought her CDs. Probably because I was so obsessed with Prince.

I can relate though... Madonna isn't exactly a "high priority" purchase if you are shopping because you know you can get it later and it will always be stocked.

I have Erotica, Like a Prayer and Ray of Light on CD

Something to remember on tape - that´s one of the really best Madonna albums you can get, I think

True Blue and Bedtime Stories on tape.

But I have to admit that the only thing I listen to is Erotica, half of Bedtime Stories and Something to remember.

The rest I have listened to only once or something. Her music just has never grown that much on me .

i only have a handful of madonna albums, but i live with a semi-reformed madge fammy-fam, so i might as well own everything she's ever done.

except he doesn't have a copy of "erotica", which is my favorite madonna album. the irony!

I'm a big fan but I don't own any of her 80s stuff.

I got curious about Madge with Erotica (my favorite) and I got Bedtime Stories because of the Meshell Ndegeocello and Bjork collaborations. And then I lost interest. But, I got all gay about her when I saw the Re-Invention Tour. I was blown away with the live spectacle. By the time the Confessions Tour came to town I had already purchased Ray of Light, Music and American Life and of course COADF. I'm a fan of Hard Candy and I can't wait for the show at Dodger's Stadium. It's such a weird thing. Being a Madonna fan.

SoulAlive

This may surprise people, but I didn't become a Madonna fan until the late 80s.I thought her early songs were fun and playful, but not very substantial.I didn't become a huge Madonna fan until the 'Like A Prayer' album in 1989.Her 90s music is superior to her 80s music, imo. The first time that I began to pay attention to Madonna was in 1986 when I heard "Live To Tell" and "Papa Don't Preach".Those songs are very mature and introspective, unlike her previous bubblegum hits. She was gettting to the point where she was making meaningful songs with substance. But even so,I didn't buy those singles back then.It was 'Like A Prayer' that sealed the deal for me.I've been a diehard fan ever since.

My top three Madonna albums are 'Erotica','Ray Of Light' and 'Like A Prayer'.If you were gonna have only three Madonna albums in your collection, those are the three CDs I would recommend wink

We're even.

I only own 3 Madonna albums. Two are compliations: Immaculate & Something To Remember; and one studio: Ray of Light.

Ironically, my favorite Madonna studio albums: her debut and Confessions, I don't even own. Stuart Price was like crack to me from 2004-06 (I was living his Darkdancer album around that time), so naturally I was feeling Confessions when that came out.

Some of my favorite dance memories of this decade are going to nightclubs in New York and Hollywood around the time Confessions came out.
