ABC - "When Smokey Sings" What a great tribute to a Motown legend. I've seen ABC twice in the last few years (last time was on Sunday - they did the 12" mix of "When Smokey Sings"!) and they still put on a great show and have always had fantastic style. Martin Fry still has such a strong voice. I can't believe I'm still a fan after 25 years!

It's twenty plus years old but I want to comment on the fact that the velvet painting in the video is actually a black faced Elvis. I'm going to double check to be sure, but how sincere can a song be when they can't use an actual picture of Smokey? After a second look, yeah, it's a blackface Elvis, really weird, isn't it?
