NEWS: Beyonce, Mary J. Blige , Mariah Carey & Rhianna Join Forces On Cancer Charity Track

R&B superstars Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Cole, Rihanna and more have united to create the single “Just Stand Up” to help support a cancer fundraising campaign.

According to Variety, the charitable song features over 15 of the most popular female singers coming together to generate funds to support cancer research. The record, produced by Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and Antonio "L.A." Reid, will also include vocals from Ashanti, Ciara, Fergie, Leona Lewis, Miley Cyrus, Natasha Bedingfield, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, LeAnnRimes and Carrie Underwood.
Hoping to help educate and further studies on cancer, the funds will go directly towards the Stand Up to Cancer Fundraising Campaign.

In addition to being made available for online purchase next month, the single will also be performed live on the “Stand Up to Cancer” telethon set running simultaneously on major networks ABC, CBS and NBC on September 5.

“Just Stand Up” will be exclusively sold on iTunes beginning Tuesday, September 2.

I'm all for giving to charity and respect and applaud those that give to charity. However, if I were giving to charity, I'd rather just give a donation on my own because I wanted to and not have my money associated with those type of artists whatsoever.

SONG STINKS. i wouldn't pay a dime for this..... it would just be a waste. Its GAY!!!!! its so cheesy you can't even tell who is singing what.... its annoying. and its s cheaply put together pop song. That the melody will be forgotten right after listening to it

Hmm sounds like everything else on the radio these days.
Le poop.

Its funny how you can barely tell the singers apart.
They all sound the same. And they all seem to be singing at the same time.
The track is over packed with voices, bells and whistles.

I got chills only during Mariah's part, eventhough she sounds strained.
High notes sound out of place but kinda good.

Beyonce, as usual, has great vocals for her verses. Mary, Mariah, and Keyshia are excellent as well. And Melissa's ad-libs are cool too.

The rest, well, meh. Except the ones I mentioned above, none of the other voices are distinct enough to be instantly recognized when listening to this song (in my opinion.), and do not blend well together.

This track is not vocally arranged as well as USA for Africa was, but I appreciate the profit going to breast cancer research.
