What does the org think of Maxwells Urban Hang Suite

Not a huge Maxwell fan, but this was probably the best album of the "Neo Soul" era artists.

This one seems to be the fave among his fans and/or casual fans.

I think my fave is "Embrya".

Still in my rotation...

Still one of the landmark recordings from the 90's. It was a huge leap for the whole R&B game and Maxwell killed it with this one. I still play this album...

It's a great album (his best IMO), but I think it's very overrated. At the risk of bringing up a tired old comparison, I don't think it holds a candle to either of D'Angelo's albums.

It was always compared with D'Angelo's 'Brown Sugar'.

Top 10 fave album of all time. I still feels fresh everytime I listen to it.

I love this album. It is one of my top favorites from the 90s. This album was one of the few that actually brought back different elements of r&b music that had kind of gotten lost in the NJS era. Some people classify this album as neo soul, but I think its a straight-up r&b album. How can anyone not like Acension.

I like it lots. Good fuck record. Esp with all the extendeds thrown in.

Classic. Embrya is another Killer.

This Album is better than anything D'Angelo has EVER done. Period.

I've always liked whatever I heard from Maxwell so this might be one that I'll finally pick up.

Dude has an awesome voice. Jammed to this in a store, for a minute, before I realized who it was... years ago. Good stuff.
