She's really blazing hot right now. From what I know she's jumped from label to label until she found a home with Capitol. She was signed to Columbia and they did not know what to do with her. When she first came out, she was kind of a Contemporary Christian singer but as she grew up she wanted to do mainstream pop/rock. So this album is years in the making. I was fortunate enough to sit with her and few other people discuss her album and how long it took to get made and she played the whole album while giving insight to each song. The album is really catchy. She worked with Max Martin and Cathy Dennis so it's very straightforward pop music with some guitar thrown in. I was not totally sold but after meeting her she was really cool and funny and seems to have really gone through some shit just to get a record out. peace Every minute of last night is on my face today.... | |
