I would have to say, Lutha's as much as I resent covers,,,,Luther is one of the few artists who re-wrote the cover songs completely to fit his own sound. Dionne Warwick's "A House Is Not A Home" is another example of what I'm talking about. He def breaths a new life into the songs he cover,,,,this(Marvin's song) is one of 'em.

Of course minus the disastrous cover "Album" he made in the early 90's. What a hot mess

Speaking of remakes, you know you a bad mofo when you take The Carpenters version of superstar and make it ridiculously soulful. Luther, even when doing covers, was a COMPLETE original. I still cry when I hear his songs on the radio. I miss him. Since I Lost My Baby is another classic remake from Luther. That voice Simply effortless.

It's a shame that in today's music industry a guy that looks like Luther would never get a record deal because of the mold that all male and female singers MUST fit into (literally and figuratively). Sadly, the world will probably miss out on many great talents because they're not overly attractive with washboard abs and the public will continue to be forcefed the likes of Rihanna and Usher.
