As your first GCS album, I recommend Aint No Bout-A-Doubt It (monster album, includes 'The Jam') 
Then get, Release Yourself, Graham Central Station, Mirror & My Radio Sure Sounds Good To Me After you got all those essential albums, you might want to consider getting Now Do You Wanta Dance,Star Walk and GCS 2000. NOTE: Some people might disagree with me on Now Do You Wanta Dance. It has a couple of killer tracks but overall it's pretty weak, imo. [Edited 2/3/08 0:12am] | |

'Ain't No Bout A Doubt It', 'Release Yourself' and the first self-titled 'GCS' album are Funk classic essentials.

I recently bought all these albums and was pretty much gobsmacked by how good they were. Release Yourself and My Radio are my favs. The others are good, but not as consistent as these ones IMO. Come visit some time: http://www.myspace.com/pimplerumskin | |

Well, at least the place I'm gonna work at is interesting, Sibelius Akatemia, a music University
