I have this on 7".

Oh and on a Sandy Shaw compilation CD which has a slightly different version. And they both have I Don't Owe You Anything sung by Shaw too.

neutral Guess I am something of a completist when it comes to ver Smiffs...

Well, tomorrow will be my 4th night out of 6 Moz gigs at the Roundhouse & it has to be said that he's in crackin' form. Superb. Bring it on!

Prince, get your head out of your arse because it STINKS up there.

"Video no longer available", but I'm assuming that this the one where the band isn't wearing any shoes.
On this track, the distinct Smiths sound is easily recognizable.

Ignore this post.
I don't need the encouragement.

You're so lucky!
I was at Monday's gig and he was fantastic- when he played "Death Of A Disco Dancer" I was in heaven as I'd waited many years to hear that live...
Enjoy the rest of your Camden week! wink

Seriously, Death of a Disco Dancer...?!

You don't think that was one fo the weaker songs on Strangeways Here We Come?!

Always thought it had "filler" written all over it, which is NOT a word I would normally associate with The Smiths. Even the B sides were perfection.

They were so prolific and to such a high standard that they probably flushed songs down the pan that most bands would have ripped their own arms off to write.

This is not an exit

I really think that "Death of..." IS one of the best Smiths tracks- the simple beginning, the build up to the end, Morrissey's mad piano playing, those lyrics:

"The death of a disco dancer
Well, it happens a lot 'round here
And if you think Peace
Is a common goal
That goes to show
How little you know

The death of a disco dancer
Well, I'd rather not get involved
I never talk to my neighbour
I'd rather not get involved
Oh ...

Love, peace and harmony ?
Love, peace and harmony ?
Oh, very nice
Very nice
Very nice
Very nice
...But maybe in the next world"

Perfect wink

mizerable is okay of a song, but the track 3 song called leeca, is the most beautiful gackt song ever, well next to this one.
