I love this band! PM Dawn was a breath of fresh air and the music still sounds as fresh as the day it was made.

Give them another chance? You can say that about a lot of artists but this is a nice plug. People don't know what they don't know, y'know? Can't save 'em all... Their music is very unique, I just love it. I don't think anyone can do what Be does with harmonies. So much imagination, so blissful and beautiful. He will always be a huge inspiration to me.

VinaBlue said: CHIC0 said: as your music will inspire others!! i should correct that... you music HAS/DOES inspire others. i'm not the biggest P.M. Dawn fan, but i do like some of their productions for other artists. i.e. Jody Watley's "When A Man Loves A Woman" and that one guy who i told you was a PM Dawn rip off and you pointed out to me who produced it..

Long time ago when they were first getting started and stuff, I didn't understand. Although U COULD NOT ESCAPE hearing "Set Adrift.." in New York ghettos everywhere. I just knew that they were unique and everytime I would look at them I just knew there was so much deepness in2 the music...being 10 @ the time though I wasn't too much in2 that.

another group that imitated pm dawn's style was blessid union of souls. If u listen 2 their 1st album it's kind of like the lead singer was trying 2 imitate Prince Be.

Yeah, now he only gives it out to people he knows or feels comfortable with. I think he's just trying to avoid people bootlegging it. He has specifically asked his fans NOT to copy it for anyone. Sometimes they (PM Dawn) sell it at their shows... He does have plans to release an edited version of the album. Love PM Dawn - thanks Vina for bringing this up. Jesus Wept is my favorite. I have to admit, I need to give "Dearest Christian..." a serious listen (although I've had it 5 years... Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com

I think he just wants to remove a song or two so it's not so dark. It's even more depressing than Dearest Christian. You can hear so much pain in his vocal melodies, lyrics and some of the chord progressions... Or maybe I'm just

Hi fms! I luuuuuv PM Dawn! My Own Personal Gravity has got to be one of my very favorite PM Dawn songs. Dearest Christian has some pretty groovy tracks on it as well, but I must admit, it took a while to grow on me. I used to skip around on it a lot and mostly listen to the more electronic songs. The last track, Untitled is a freaken masterpiece.

Jesus Wept sure is a perfect album, a bit like Meshell's Comfort Woman. I have "Dearest Christian" got it for $1 but somehow I've never listened to it.
