It was written by Carlos Santana' wife Deborah Santana..Its an amazing look about her life as the daughter of a famous guitarist..and the girlfriend of Sly Stone and the Wife of Carlos Santana..Its filled with juicy stories that Any fan of these two great artist would Love !!! highlights:

Sly was/is a mean motherfucker; alot worse than Prince and other entertainers.

Maybe that's partialy the reason for Larry Gayham converting to the JW cult; he was doing crazy shit with sly and wanted to make up fro his sins.( i read sly and the family stone did alot of shit on the road; drugs, groupies)

I've been reading alot recently including bios/autobios and i'm shocked and disgusted at the behaviour of many entertainers i respected.

I mean who would of though John lennon was abusive and violent to men and women; allegedly beating a man to near death with a SHOVEL!

Miles davis is another sick bastard, so was Hendrix; both extremely violent to women without provocation.

Miles had a lot of issues, mainly to do with his bisexuality.

Thanks. I'll definetly check this book out. Sly was bisexual too. I remember reading that in Jet magazine. He admitted it and said it was "personal battle within himself".

He also kicked kathy in the face; fracturing her nose in three places while she lay on the ground beaten and bruised.

I just finished reading room full of mirrors 2 weeks ago...I already knew the jimi stories...its SAD ...But people were pretty fucked up then on all kinds of crap...

Jimi beat women before he touched drugs! The belt incidenthappened when jimi was sombre. Drugs didn't make him violent; he as most violent when drunk.

Ethanol is more destructive than most drugs; FACT! However there still no excuse for what Hendrix did. I was dissapointed becuase i own dozens of Hendrix cds and thought he was a great guy. I can't help thinking about the violence when i listen to jimi; i wish i could still just appreciate the music
