Not to be too technical, but an album selling over 10 million doesn't automatically give it a diamond certification. The record company has to submit the album for certification and pay the fee. Motown was notorious for not certifying their artists.

JANFAN4L

Whitney Houston (for her debut)
Phil Collins (for "No Jacket Required")
Stevie Wonder (for "Songs in the Key of Life")
Michael Jackson (for "Thriller" -- which went DOUBLE DIAMOND *damm*)
TLC (for "CrazySexyCool")
*NSYNC (for "No Strings Attached" & their debut)
Backstreet Boys (for "Millennium")

A lot of those TRL acts were SELLING some serious records in 2000.

You can check out this list, too: http://www.mnet.ne.jp/~hbr/us10mal.htm

Would Purple Rain be diamond since it sold 18 million?
So long as men desire to live together, no man may initiate the use of physical force against others.
