Worth A Listen - Goapele

In case you missed it, there is a great new album by Goapele out now, called 'Change It All.' It features a handful of collaborators from SA-RA Creative Partners to Dwele, which makes it pretty unique. More info can be found at

I bought an album blind based on a rave review and hated it. I don't trust this chicks music at all. HOWEVER the song Romantic is killer so for that I will at least preview this and see what I think.

i like her too - you know Prince and Sheila E are fans as well. heard they went to one of her shows in the Bay area . . .

Yea I heard. That's pretty cool. Some more cool info I found out is that Goapele's "First Love" video will premiere on VH1 on February 13th and there is supposedly a Yahoo "One To Watch" taping at SXSW on March 15th for those that may be going down.

wow...she, her first album was all over the place and only had one killer track...sounds like its the same ole same ole..i might end up passing..despite her being a local chick and all..

I really dig the song "First Love". This CD is very slick productionwise despite her homegrown-ish approach to music. Its very mid-tempo overall. Its got some decent tracks but nothing other than First Love actually jumped out at me. She's got a pretty decent MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/goapelemusic
