John Mayer is the real deal

I picked up Try! John Mayer Trio Live in Concert a few days ago, and I just have to say that this dude can play. One of the rew real musicians in the mainstream today. Anyone else love this album?

He's cute and very talented. I loved Room For Squares and some of his earlier work. Sadly, I got really burnt out thanks to radio-overexposure and haven't bought his recent CDs. Still, I have a lot of respect for him and have hopes that he will have a long and impressive run...

His new one is supposed to be a HUGE departure.

From what I can gather, this is the kind of music he's always wanted to make. It's just that now, he finally feels that he can.

You do deserve a treat. smile If Taco Bell makes you feel better, go for it! I tend to head for the McNuggets when I feel that way.

Firstly - John Mayer, not cute! lol Maybe he was at one time, but he looks hunched and ghostly. Secondly - my little brother who (like me) is no big fan of John Mayer suggested I get this. He picked it up a few weeks back and really enjoyed it. Maybe when I have some extra money for me after the holidays, I'll get it.

Taco Bell ALWAYS makes me smile lol

And John is toad cute. He's a little gangly and weird looking, but when he's jamming on the guitar...WATCH OUT!

My affection for John increased tenfold after seeing him live a few times, he's clearly got the talent...I just needed a break from him

This disc is a must have.

Guitar wise it rips... yes I will give you it sounds like Stevie RV at some points but not many people who try to sound like him even come close.

Pino and Steve lay down a very subtle groove. Pino plays very much like on D's Voodoo album.. smooth and slinky.

I am enjoying this song structure is good and vocally he is very talented.

I know some of us have been waiting on this since he did a few relief and benefits shows where he tore it up.

Favs are another kind of green and vultures.
Music is the best...

John Mayer is cute, but does anyone else think he looks like he's on drugs? Haha. Anyways, I love his voice. It's beautiful and so soothing. I didn't know he was from Bpt!

Have any of you heard the song he did with Herbie Hancock playing Piano? Awesome! His guitar work on "Wonderland" is outstanding.
