Whatever Happened to the R&B Group NEXT

Any of you guys remember that R&B group NEXT? They came out of Minneapolis as well and were really nasty. I remember thinking they were going to contribute to the Minneapolis legacy as well and then they just drifted out of our musically climate.

Whatever happened to them. Any Minneapolis natives see them out and about? Are they coming back out?

I don't know what happen to them but I remeber the song (from their 2nd cd Welcome to Nextasy) called Cybersex & it had some of the stupidest lyrics I have ever heard on a slow jam-no wonder their not around, read the lyrics below:

(Intro)
I want your PC
(Welcome to Nextasy)
I want your PC
(Guys, press one, Ladies, press two)
I want your PC
(Your selection is two)

(Access Granted)

(Chorus)
I want your PC
Sit on my laptop
Push all my bottons, baby
Please don't stop
Download all over me
Lemme into your bits and dat
Dial me up, it's time for cybersex

It's like four in the morning
Wake up like you're hungry
I know you're really horney
Really need you something
Look over at your PC
Start thinking freaky
Know you need me, power it up
Come see me cuz

(Chorus)

If you want me at your house
Squeeze the mouse
I'm coming now
This is what you wanted now
Oh, technologically wow
Anytime you need a fix
Just put in my hard disk
No viruses, no risk
Isn't this the shit, I'm lovin' it girl

(Chorus) x2

I know you 'fein for your computer screen
Want to do things, orgasmic dreams
I'm working hard so I can hit you off
Like W-W-W Next dot com, come on

(Chorus) x2

Gotta get on the net
Gotta get a piece of mind
Ooo-eee, dial me up
I wanna be inside you baby
Technologically, sexually
You and me
On my PC
Sexually, technologically
You with me

Cybersex

didn't RL father a child by Queenpen?
I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am

That was always rummored that he fathered a child by her but it was never confirmed. He always claimed he had a son but he never said who the mother was.

Do any of you Mini-Apple natives see them around town. I know Lance Alexander and Proof T of Lo-Key discovered them and helped get them in the industry and they themselves are local Minni-Apple muscian producers themselves

Me too. The old school Kurtis Blow beat really cinched it. I got rid of it later too.
