Trust me, I know from a VERY CLOSE SOURCE TO AL that he WON'T be back in action. He now DJs a radio show in the Bay Area called The Secret Garden.
His debut was the shit though! First time anyone ever had 1 side for slow jams and the other side for uptempo cuts. Very tight production, considering he can't sing a damn. Iam sure most of the org knows i love him too. And his work with tevin and jeremy jordan. And al's 3rd album (1992's "sexy vs") is a lost gem. | |

Funny thing about Al's 3rd album "Sexy Versus"...he used "versus"...it shoulda been "Verses." How does a record company let that slip? "But what of black women? . . . ? I never understood that either? Also, hsi 3rd album was not on uptown. I guess it was too adult contemporary? "playing games" is al's best slowjam proberly. Its also a very sad song. | |

as far as the "sexy versus" i remember him explaining it as being sexy "versus" yourself..i forgot the rest of the article. it was out of the black beat mag.
