Better debut: Sade's "Diamond Life", or Jill Scott " Who is Jill Scott words and sounds vol 1 Since everybody doing a vs, thread thought I'll jump on the band wagon. Who had the better debut Sade or Jill I absolutely love both these albums, but I lean more towards Sade's debut because there's not a bad track on the album where as Jill's plays a little to long imo. So which do you prefer?

I would have to go with Sade on this one. Tracks like "Your Love Is King" are very, very rare to come by, that the essential "Smooth Operator," as well. Ooh, little darlin' if you're

i'm all for jill, but i consider sade's first album to be a classic. maybe 10 or 20 years from now, i'll think of jill's album the same way. but i don't as of now.

I prefer Jill's debut, but Sade's was such a breath of fresh air @ the time... it's probably considered more of a classic.

I love Jill Scott! But with songs like "Frankie's First Affair", "Your Love is King", "Smooth Operator" and "Hang on to Your Love", I am going to have to go with Sade's Diamond Life. That's a CD I still listen to often. I hardly ever play Jill's first one anymore (still love it though!).
