I know. It's a shame to realize that after that, Mike went on to become the most successful artist of the 20th century. How sad.

And that really helps the fact his face is falling a part. What would have kept him from doing all of that and still looking the way he was born to look? I'm a big MJ fan but let's be real here.

I am being real. Pretending that MJ's face truly is "falling apart" because of a skin disease, thick makeup, and a f#cked-up nose job doesn't do me any good, and has nothing to do with his career. I'm not a member the Jackson Pity Party, nor do I like playing the Blame Game (aka He Brought It On Himself.) I don't have time for that. It's tired, and unimportant (especially considering the mockery of the justice system currently being played out in Santa Barbera.)

OK, i'll be real.

It's not important. People need to get over his face, bloody years of this nonsense, it's boring this 'Michael's a mess, no longer black, look at his nose'. It's bollocks, honestly i couldn't give a fuck. Plastic Surgery was his choice and his decision. Vitiligo or not to go with the surgery, it's his business. Michael is a black man, that is beyond dispute, anyone that says differently can fuck right off in my book. It's not like he props up the Arian Nation or the KKK, he supports the United Negro College Fund for heavens sake.

Prince once sang "It's all about DNA". He had a point.I'm just thankful Mike's videos don't consist of 'Hoes & bitches' and cars bouncing up and down, you know, the stereotypical gangsta bullshit seemingly expected of black men in music today. And what a shitty horrible violent world we live in with kids acting up like those clowns MTV holds in such high esteem.

Not radical at all.

Michael is because he's always been different in every aspect of his life and career. How he chooses to look is nothing to do with the person he is at his core.

IMO.

Well we agree on the merits of this court case but if you really don't care that Michael seems to be bogged down in a lot of self hate then so be it. Call me a sap but I feel sorry for the guy. There are clear emotional issues going on with this cat

If anything, I sympathize with MJ because of the extrodinary circumstances of his life. I feel angry for the fact that he has to have his name, legacy, mental health and basic humanity questioned every single day. I sometimes feel sad that medical situations have led him to look very different. But pity? Not at all. His nose jobs (I seriously doubt he's had as many as speculated)are his own bad. Why don't people ever comment on the rest of the Jackson family? They ALL got their noses done (with the exception maybe of Jackie,) so, what, they're all broken, self-loathing creatures? confused
MJ's never given me any reason (by his words) for me to assume that he has some type of self-hate. In fact, he praises his heritage, racial, musical, AND familial, at every chance he gets. A lot of people seem to think that he's an ego maniac. I've never heard of such a person hating himself. What I think is pitiful is that even in 2005, there are some people so race and color-minded that they're actually paranoid enough to believe that a Black man can "turn" himself white (or that a Black man would even want to BE white.)

This is why I don't like posting in MJ threads here. Even the most light-hearted discussions turn this route. I'm tired of it.

how long is MJ´s face supposed to have been falling apart??? I mean c´mon guys. they´ve been saying that since the early 90´s and he´s still here. Use your brain sometimes. One guy even once came to me with a great news that he just read that his nose fell off during one of his performances and I was like "dude, if THAT really happen, don´t you think we´d see that over and over again on TV like that Janet incindent? His concerts are being taped!

Since this is a pretty fresh take on an old MJ commercial (the thread that is), I'm gonna let it continue... in fact, it's a pretty cool thread. Wow, something new that we didn't know about Michael!!!

However, it's time to start cracking down on MJ threads... we really don't need to know if MJ's socks are still glittery or if his nose job now looks better than the first four hundred nose jobs... rolleyes

Good thread though! biggrin
