they were both released at the height of each megastar's career and they both represent the creative song writing skills and singing that make them 2 of thebest albums of all time.

i will not reveal which ismy personal fave.becausei have a natural bias towards Micheal jackson & prince and i just can't decide which is my fave

Prince beats Michael Jackson every time. He's just better. The only time in their careers that I would consider them equals would be '79.

I prefer "Purple Rain" but doesn't make it better, It's all matter of personal taste.

I can relate to the songs more on Purple Rain than on Thriller.

Billie Jean is better than anything on Purple Rain.

But that's about it. Other than Billie Jean, Purple Rain is a far better album. Tracks like When Doves Cry, I Would Die 4 U and Purple Rain beat anything on Thriller bar Billie Jean.

The only tracks I like on Thriller other than Billie Jean are Startin' Somethin' and Beat It. Lady In My Life is okay too...
