Best Stoner Albums of All Time? I vote Beck's "Odelay" as the BEST STONER ALBUM OF ALL TIME!!

Well if you broaden the definition of stoner album to include albums that were inspired or capture the feeling of drug use (expand it to encompass drugs other than cannabis that is), the ULTIMATE stoner album is There's A riot Goin On by Sly & the Family stone. Though it's a pet peeve of mine when people attribute any creative or weird ideas to drugs, particularly in rock, I can say unequivocally that album would not have the unique, frightening, mind-altering vibe it has if sly hadn't become a total addict. | |

I don't know what these cats are about, i've just been waiting for an opportunity to use their name. They are listed on the www.StonerRock.com site. (An acquaintance told me they were considered Stoner Rock.) Any group that writes a tune called The Gibbetted Captain Kid can't be all bad.  (...or can they?)
