The album's holding on strong. And just think, that 96,000 is the retail sales alone. There's still around 60,000 or so of the concert giveaways to add in this week. This album's definitely going platinum.

Yes, it will be a solid # 3 again this week in Billboard after concert numbers are added .

In it's second week it's still his best chart position since Diamonds and Pearls and sold more in it's 2nd week than any first week sales of any release since Diamonds and Pearls and thats without the concert sales.

great news! Are you certain the concert "sales" are not in there? ..Without the concert #'s, these retail numbers for week 2 are better than Rave week 1. That is impressive.

I did my part this week. I DJ'd a prom this week and started my set off with Musicology, then later in the evening I followed it up with Call my name.....several kids asked about the CD afterwards.

Also, D12 came in with a BOMB at #1.....no accounting for peoples taste in music.....it boggles my mind. MY BAND gets annoying as hell after a few listens. I can understand Usher being there...and he'll be there for a LOOOONNNNG TIME. He's the real competition

The most impressive part about the number is the 2nd week dropoff. He dropped 44%, which was less than Mario Winans, who has a #2 Top 40 single right now. That's impressive.

They're pretty good figures it seems.
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Everyone just needs to let your friends hear it....keep spreading the word for the man.....GOOD JOB P That's beautiful. That's what I'm talking when I told people that the youth are the ones who really need to hear this CD and it's so good that there's an interest in this CD. I brought an extra CD the first week and my friend got to hear it and her and her husband liked it. She wanted to keep it and I told her it was hers. This is so exciting. Prince.org is a cemetery where folks mourn Prince instead of celebrate him and his music. Last time I checked, Prince isn't dead yet.

Why the fuck are people still buying that dull as dishwater CD of Usher's? It's so bland. . [This message was edited Tue May 4 16:24:58 2004 by bkw] ----- I think there might be some double scanning go on with Usher.

Kick ass! So much for the theory about the concerts cannibalizing the record sales. Mad props to the Lil' Guitar Playin' Man! It's good to see that folks in general, and not just hardcore fans, are totally feeling this record. And for the record, D12 is the shittiest rap group ever. Bunch of clowns.

Oh wait, I forgot, Usher said it himself- he's a genius, and he's the only out there offering real music. Do I detect a trace of Terence Trent D'Arby-ism in Usher's statement? Why yes, yes I do.

I like in the video when the guy is complaining about how interviewers never want to know how D12 started. Ermm, weren't you just mates with Eminem and tagged along on his coat-tails when he got a record deal? And are still doing that? But I love Eminem, supremely witty! In the UK Anastacia kept Prince from the number 2 spot. Never really liked her, but my brother played me some of the album the other night, and you know what? It's brilliant! First couple of songs are so powerful, sounds like a really good rock band accompanying her on every track. A real surprise.
