Although I like the new look I will say that THe Lovesexy look was so Damn Hot with his Long Hair and well I will Never Forget that pic of him with the Leg Warmers from Musician. Make ya Wanna Die!

Purple Rain!

The long-haired Batman/Lovesexy/Graffiti Bridge era. He was so freakin' beautiful with long hair! Most women wish they could have hair that healthy looking and beautiful.

Sign O the Times...I looked everywhere for square sunglasses that he had and I wanted to turn my blue jean jacket into a replica of the one he wore on the VMA's (with the peace sign on the back). My mom nixed the idea, unfortnately. Close second would be the typhoon do look of Diamonds and Pearls. For some strange reason, I just thought that was a cool look.


Definitely not Lovesexy...it looked like he was wearing pajamas the whole year!

Favorite era, Dirty Mind, Controversy and 1999. Purple Rain was a little too commercial. I liked the album and wore it out, but I didn't feel like I was shocking my mother enough. Heck SHE liked When Doves Cry.

For the look, I liked the long hair also, although he looks dayum good now... He hasn't aged at all in the last 20 years, I wish I could say the same!

I loved the Trench Coat era.

I tend to prefer him with long hair, so lovesexy, nude, ...etc was probably my favourite. However just having watched a download of him from French tv....musicology tour.....white suit with fringes.... gorgeous!

I'll have to say Sign O the Times.
Up until then we never saw him in glasses or jeans
then the Love sexy era is next .
I hated the Come/Diamonds & Pearls era!

His coolest was Parade!

I actually liked the look he was sportin' in the late 90's early 2000's when he brought that big hoop earring back. His look right now is aslo pretty cool. I like the suits that he is wearing now better than Parade just because he doesn't have those HUGE shoulder pads.

the prince and dirty mind eras, far as looks go...fave era overall is the stuff between prince and 1999.

I'll say the Sign O The Times era. Loved those glasses.

I think his best look was in Parade era when he was more silent and tended to shy away from the press - more mystique please!!

#1 choice: The Graffiti Bridge era (his hair was even longer than Lovesexy! I had a Thieves in the Temple poster laminated on my wall in college with that long, sexy hair!)

$2 choice: Parade: I liked the wavy french coif ... especially looked good when he wore suits...like on that awards show. (AMAs?)

..I thought he looked totally smooth during the Parade era...I can't remember which award show it was, but he came out with a tux and the short hair thing goin' and my mom even had to say.."He cleans up nice"...which was a huge compliment..she hated him then and still does...go figure...
