The other day I was watching 'The Hits' video compilation for the 1st time in several years & I fell out of my chair when the credits started rolling. "Why isn't 'When Doves Cry' on this compilation?!?" I yelled towards the TV.

I can't believe that classic was left off of it. I feel the same way everytime I see it. Perhaps WB will include it on a new release of the Purple Rain DVD. It is a great video without too much dependence on film clips - unlike most videos for singles that came from a soundtrack in the 80s. The effects were cool 20 years ago and Prince's moves are still captivating | |

Um...I'm a white guy and not that I'm a fucking undulating acrobat or nuthin', but I got me some goddamn rhythm!! I certainly could've handled the Revolution's moves hella more slick than Bobby or Fink... Anxiety's another white guy who can turn the shit out rhythmically...and I bet BananaCologne can do the same. I'm sure you didn't mean it, but generalising based on race is usually not a great idea. It's just that Prince had some TERRIBLY uncoordinated white folk in his band back then...I swear that they were instructed to act like that...for some reason, it adds to the charm. And hell yeah there's a Doves Cry poster...it was on my wall in high school, and I THINK I got it from an LP...anyone remember where that was available? No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
