I've made the following Prince compilations to convert my girlfriend...

After hearing Raspberry Beret for the first time when I played it her, I decided to make her a compilation disc. I sent her this one first of all:

2. Christopher Tracey's Parade
3. Strange Relationship
4. The Greatest Romance Ever Sold
5. We Cank Funk
6. Joy In Repetition
7. The Beautiful Ones
8. Thieves In The Temple
9. Sign O The Times
10. Don't Play Me
11. Sometimes It Snows In April
12. Strange But True
13. The Everlasting Now
14. Last December

She absolutely loved it. The only Prince track she knew was The Most Beautiful Girl In The World, so I found it really interesting to hear her take on these tracks. Her favourites were Controversy, Strange But True, Thieves In The Temple and Strange Relationship. The only tracks she didn't like were The Everlasting Now and We Can Funk (we nearly split up over that!).

So I've made her a second disc. I don't want to cram it all with his best songs... and lure her into a false impression that all of Prince's albums are full of Anna Stesia's, Joy In Repetition's and Crystal Ball's...

hmmm, that's an interesting round of songs...Besides "Dig You Better Dead" I have no complaints with the tracklist, though!
