I love the song totally, but my favorite performace was the Tonight Show version, the Alladin DVD as a whole is lifeless to me, none of them seem into it at all. | |

Co-sign about the Tonight Show version! It was really awesome to see Prince on Jay! But i disagree with you on the topic of the Aladdin DVD, I think they were definitely into it, but it was a more jazzy, subdued "into it." www.adamjames.net -official website

It must be one of P's best songs in years. I prefer the studio version, personally. The complaint and slap bit is a masterful rebuke to critics and the like. | |

Courtin' Time is my favorite song off of the whole 3-disc Emancipation set -- and I like quite a few songs on there. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
