To all the Prince newbies.

I notice there are a lot of new faces at the org lately, I was curious why it took so long for you guys to surface? And how long have you been into Prince? Why now? lol.

I've been a Prince fan for a few years, but I always thought he was cool cause my dad loves him and my fav movie is Batman, so I heard his music one way or another a million times growing up.

I just came here a few times the past year to see any news, but then I figured I might as well sign up.

I was here before under a different name, but got banned for flame wars...

Go figure.

I've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow... Now to find a way to exterminate Melody Cool and Rosie Gaines...

i joined the org, a few months bak, the reason i did was because i had to know more about this amazing person, and where better. the reason i fell for PRINCE's music is tht, it was original, i have never heard of songs quite like wot i heard from PRINCE, i also fell for his music, because u could feel how this person was feeling when he wrote the song, he put so much emotion into ever song. i have only been a fan for a few years!

I've been here for a little over a month. Usually around the holidays I do a lot of baking so I like to listen to Prince to keep me company in the kitchen. Since he's been a little quiet lately I decided to go online and look for some Prince sites. I saw that this one had a lot of activity and posts were actually up to date so I joined.

I was familiar with his 1999 album but actually "fell in love" with his music after buying the PR album. I just can't explain why I love his music, something about it just touches a place that no other artist has, like Andykeen says, his music is original, no two songs sound the same. It's also fun, sexy, mad, joyful and everything else in between.

I'm an old enough Orger to have witnessed the previous Org-lay-out. I wouldn't know when a new orger joins our ranks, but I'm glad to have 'em!

Well, in the midst of a near fatal rubbing alcohol bender, I signed up for the NPGMC thinking it was related to Megadeth. I figured I oughta start posting there since I already plonked down my $25, and eventually I ended up here, too. I don't actually like Prince or any of his music.

If prince didn't play guitar I wouldn't be nearly as big a fan, even if the songs were exactly the same. I got into him a couple of months ago because of the enormous respect that he gets. Usually I wouldn't give someone that made a cover like Lovesexy () a chance but after hearing so many props I had to see what all the fuss was about.
Most of my taste is rock, and Prince has that and all kinds of new elements I never experienced. It was like discovering a new world, reading about 25 years of history and so many exciting sonic changes. Before I just thought he was a weird eccentric guy that changed his name for awhile. The org rocks because there is such a wide variety of opinions. Most of you guys have different music collections than I do and it's exciting to hear about a different perspective. Prince has been the cause of being exposed to all kinds of new stuff!

I have been at another Prince forum until some wanker there pissed me off beyond all recovery!!

So i came here despite being told how shit it is, and i am having the time of my life!!

I have been a Prince fan for years now, but im more into older stuff than newer.

I became a fan a few months ago (a Purple Rain conversion), stumbled across the org and joined because I wanted to ask about unavailable albums. As my username might suggest I am a rock fan but I like Prince because he's funky and eclectic, and of course because he's a great guitar player and general instrumentalist. You won't see so much of me when I finally get a job though.
