Hello again

Im putting togther an Australian Fam database for all states.

From this, all Australian fams can put their name down for where they represent, so it's easy to hook up with people within your own state.

Also, for the other states that aren't getting a show, but are making their way to the east coast for one of the 3 city shows, they can hook up with other fams from that state.

This is the list so far. I do apologise if I have missed anyone, Just add your name to this thread, and the state u live in, and I will add u to the list.

Next to each name, I have included an asterix (*) which donates which concert you will attend. More than one star of the same colour indicates you are attending more than one show for that city.

Blue * = Fan Attending Melbourne Show
Red * = Fan Attending Sydney Show
Green * = Fan Attending Brisbane Show

Ive just come to the realisation of NPGMC tickets.

Derek said something like ticket prices will be:

A Reserve - $150
B Reserve - $88

My question is these prices are in Australian dollars.

If we order through the club, will it be US$150?, If so, our tickets will be AUS$300 per ticket!

What im getting at is, when they price these, do they take the conversion into account?

I really need to know this because my VISA card is maxxed out, and i need to pay off enough so the ticket price can be debted.

Also, because we are members, do we have to pay any extra on these tickets?

Maybe countries outside the US can answer the above question for us.

This is my first post to the org, I'm a Sydneysider and will be of course attending the gig at the Entertaiment Centre. It should be the essence of fullmadness. I can't wait.

The prices are AUD...sorry for not clarifying that.

So i think our member tix will be something like US$100 as bkw said...not too bad i think - and we might get a discount!

But think of it...US$100 for a seat in the front rows, potential soundcheck AND/OR aftershow - very good value.

Hey All, i'll be at the Melbourne gig. I saw 2 shows 11 years ago and it was awesome. I've been a member for all 3 years and am waiting to get the fruits of my membership, although my fiance joined up, because my brothers and sisters will all come to the concerts as well.
Can't wait, 11 years, but only a month away now and Melbourne will be first this time.

Anyone catch the ad for the tour in (Sydney paper) "The Sunday Telegraph", page 117?

Just a regular ad for the tour, but at the bottom it states

"Special VIP 'experience' available call (02) 9266 4817 for further information"

Called the line, got a voice recording. Said to call back on Wednesday for more details on the "VIP Experience".

Maybe they will refer people to the club to get the pre -shows / aftershows?

I'll be at the Sydney show.

Had the same ad in the Melbourne paper too, we'll have to wait 'til wed to find out what the deal is?

Does anyone know what the special VIP thingy/number on the ad is? I think I might call to see what it's about.

I admit I joined the NPGMC since the tour announcement was made.
I am hoping to get to the Sydney show. Have been living in Oz for five months and my mum is joining me on holiday for a few weeks so plan to take her to the gig as a suprise if I am lucky enough to get tickets.
Would be amazing to get to the soundcheck/aftershow too and meet up for a few beers with any of you who are around.

4 years, promoters have been stand off-ish in bringing Prince to Australia because they think no one is interested in him. The amount of Australian NPGMC members, plus people posting on this thread, and the general hype by the public, proves that's totally wrong!

I am still undecided, one min I am buying the $1000 and the down to the $170 ticket. I am also going alone now.

I guess we all will be going alone, but at least we will all be going. And from the love on the net, there is some great friends amunst us, so we can all enjoy it together.

So, if u don't bring a partner, chances are, the person sitting next to u will be one of us anyway, thus, ALL of us will be that much closer to the front.

Im trying to stay positive on this. True, the price is excessive, but i think part of the price is caused by outside sources (Danity & mob). Part of the offer i like is that at least i don't have 2 wait 'till next Tuesday to fight it out at ticketek and think to miss out to someone else who suddenly decides "Hey, I like Prince" and were never really a fan, but got better tickets.

Compared to last years Celebration, it's VERY excessive when u look at it like for less value of one of these AUD$392 tickets, u got a 7 day Celebration.

However, having said that, No matter how much we rant and rave, I guess we have 2 bite the bullet and pay what we can afford, because nothing we can say or do is going to change things, so we may as well look 4ward to it, because, it's been over 11 years, and after this, It just may be the last time.

I really wish everone luck in getting their tickets!

It took an hour for me just to get to listen to music for another 20 mins. I got my VIP ticket so I am happy.

Well I got my Melb and Sydney diamond tix so I'm happy...

Will be seeing two soundchecks and 2 shows for AUD$340 - now that is not too shabby - props to the club for righting the wrong!

BRING ON OCTOBER 21!!!

PS. It is sooo cool being able to post first reviews, setlists, etc on the org rather than salivating over reports from the US and Europe like last year!!!

I'm not sure, I think we get an e-mail from NPGMC nearer the date of the show telling us how to collect tickets etc on the day itself.
You probably need to bring your credit card/photo id as a guess.

Hi, I'm going to the Brisbane show. I'm not an NPGMC member (waited til it was too late to join - but I've been a fan for eight or nine years), so I guess I'll have to wait til Tuesday to "battle it out at Ticketek" as someone said. So does anyone know, will I still get access to Diamond tickets + soundcheck if I get general public tickets? Or is it only for NPGMC members?

i put my blood sweat and tears into getting that damn ticket!!!

Since we're all sharing ticket stories, I got thru 2 the HOTLINE @ 1.30 pm (took a sickie 2day), I never panicked, knowing that the phones would b jammed mainly by our SYD and MELB brothers and sisters, since u peops make up the numbers - tis cool.

Bought 2 VIP ($392) tickets 4 myself and fellow PRINCE fan/fam - Pete.

Just created an account 4 my brother and his fiancee, they're doing the $171 deal.

My girl (ESPY) isn't a huge fan, but may yet get 'nosebleed' tickets next week and go with some other non-hardcore fans (I.E. the one's that only know Purple Rain, BATMAN, D&P etc and anything they play on the radio)

All in all, we're pretty happy.

Congrats 2 all u guys & gals down south, hope u all got what u wanted. Have a great experience.

No late nite 2nite (hopefully), altho' with the current 'buzz', it's kinda hard 2 stay away from the ORG and NPGMC.

Diamond tickets are not for NPGMC members only.

Ticketek get the scraps of the Diamond tickets that are left over after the presale, if any.

Wow all these names I have seen on the org on my six monthly visits --- and so many from Australia.

Put me down for the Melbourne and Sydney show.

I can't wait to get into that soundcheck ... hope to meet as many org and NPGMC fams as possible.

I think we should meet up in the soundcheck and go into a huddle like he footballers do. Someone should give a speach while other people say stuff like "COME ON BOYS" ... "& GIRLS" ..."WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ALL YEAR" ... and other crap like the footballers.

Then we can go full swing into the soundcheck singing our arses off. And then when we realise it is just a roadie on stage we can hm hmmm ... and so on!

I was thinking of giving out Org T-shirts or NPGMC tees...then we all walk in and Prince starts going off about how they are bootleg shirts and I politely tell him that there are no friggin sizes left on NPGMC.com so we made our own!!!

I'm sitting watching thinking 2 myself...if he comes out and plays North, South, East, & West there will be a lot of ppl (not me of course) wondering what the hell is going on!

Still can't get it into my head that Prince is playing the hits...'for one last time' - just seems too far fetched. Another reason I can't wait for the tour - 2 see what the hell he's up to!!!

Tried to get an onstage one but all sold out (I did leave it too late to call - 2pm yesterday) wasted valuable time debating whether to join npgmc, so it's my own fault. Sigh. Hugely disappointed, but happy that I am going at all.

dnaplaya - can you update my details to show me attending Melbourne and Sydney now... my visa card is just going to have to suffer a little more, not to mention my sleep patterns - I've decided to take the afternoon off from work on the day of the Melbourne show, fly over, go crazy during the sound check, the regular show and the aftershow (OK maybe I'm just being optimistic about the aftershow) then catch the redeye back to Adelaide the next morning to make it into work for 9... then repeat for Sydney

Update, my cousin ordered 5 tickets today thru vip.preferredseating.com.au

$187 each - DIAMOND as well (altho' without soundcheck), but still a good 10 hours b4 TICKETEK puts their's up 4 sale.

That now makes 9 from my family going, with anutha 2 trying their luck 2morrow. All going 2 the BRIZ show.

SYDNEY FAN UPDATE:

Im going to sort out with Joshy & Derek the pre show meet up pretty soon for the Sydney show.

First offer was for "JB's Bar & Grill" (opposite SEC). Small bar, has snooker table, but again there was a gangland murder there about a year ago. Not worried about that, just thought it would be a good idea to mention the 'history 'of the place.

So, the second option was for "One World Sport" bar Darling Harbour (200 metres down from SEC), but I just found out, "OWS" will be official home of The All Blacks NZ rugby team during World Cup. Might get a bit crowded there.

There are plenty more options, one being "The PumpHouse" next to SEC.

If anyone has a preference to any of these (or somewhere different), just let us know and we can take it into concideration.
