November Rain or Purple Rain ? I both like these 2 songs very much. Which one do you guys like best? | |

I'm a huge guns n' roses fan, of course I'm a bigger Prince fan.. but seriously, no offence, I love November Rain.. Purple Rain doesn't mean THAT much to me.. so I defintley have to go with November Rain.. | |

both great anthems and both got great solo's. toughie for sure! purple rain is more of a singalong...i honestly cant decide! both as good as each other i guess! november rain probs means more to me lyrically, but purple rain does too, but NR just that bit more, so id go with that in the end! | |

Yep - I think I'd agree with the general concensus - love them both, but lyrically November Rain has the edge.

I prefer November Rain, November RAin has "the" climax, the piano intro is very beautiful. As a rock epic November Rain is better. But Purple Rain is as good as November rain, it's just different, but the very end of November Rain makes me like more it than Purple Rain. | |

Axl & Co. couldn't touch Purple Rain with a 50 ft. pole. This question sounded like a joke to me at first simply cuz there's no contest here. November Rain is a good song but Purple Rain is sonically better. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE. | |

Don't get me wrong, I love "purple rain", but as someone said, it's more of a sing-along-song (he wrote it to appeal to a wider audience). I don't feel that it's really Prince at his best (musically and lyrically), to me it's not even the best song on the album.  | |

Let's see... November Rain: cringeworthy heavy metal ballad with a video that implies that rain is deadly. Shrieked by Axl Rose. Would be worst song ever if Extreme hadn't recorded More Than Worst.
