Timberlake's "Cry me a river" an OUTAKE from Emancipation ?

R&B pop star Timberlake has a big hit called "Cry me a river". I noticed many similarities betwween this tune and Emancipation, along with some other Prince references:
1- the whole song could have been be the next track right after "Somebody's somebody"
2 - the lead synth strangely sounds like the one of "Face Down"
3 - The final vocal has a very Camille style (accelerated and styley)
the bass in the middle of the track is almost like the one of "Slave"
4 - the background vocals sound like the final ones of "Come On" (Newpowersoul)
5 - Cry me a river… till "the river runs dry"? (The Family)

Does the whole album sounds like a 1996 symbolina sound?

although timbaland is a admirer of prince... no, this song has nothing to do with prince.

first of all, it was a hit. prince hasn't had a successful song going on 9½ years now.

go back to the timbaland written track "i'm crying out." written in 1999, it was on ginuwine's "100% ginuwine" album. this song is the prequel (imo) to "cry me a river."

if you take anything from this response, take this... although prince's influence is recognized throughout the music industry, not everything is connected to prince...

err,i dont hear Prince circa 1996 in Justin's album.
infact, the only prince-esque thing in the song is the one u didnt even mention:

going in2 the bridge,justin screams " NOOO! "
which sounds JUST LIKE the scream at the start of Alphabet St.

besides that,i dont hear anything Princely

Timberlake's songs has nothing to do with P.
On a side note, I would like 2 c a hit on his hands again. I remember when Cream hit the radios. I'd like 2 c that again. At least it had every1 talking. But i don't really c it happening. Perhaps we just need 2 enjoy the music...which what most of us have been doin' anyway.

Do U think while Brit and Justin couldn't have sex (Yeah right?) they used to spend all night tucked up in bed listening to Prince records. Britney liked Nasty girl, and Justin liked Camille stuff and Emancipation.

This guy is just saying the songs have a similar sound. Which some of them do. The Justin Timberlake cd was produced by the Neptunes who have admitted that they are big fans. Justin has admitted he is a Prince fan. Prince has has a big influnce on Pop music and no Prince has not had a hit in nine years but, Elvis has not had a hit in thirty years but everybody claims they were influnced by Elvis.

It probaly has not occured to you but, maybe Prince is not interested in having a hit. I don't see him putting out anything that radio would even think about playing. He is not doing any video's or interviews. It does not appear to be the actions of someone who wants to have big hits.

Just think a little before you go off on your tirads.

Well you show your lack of intelligence once again. The only response you can come up with is to call me a dumbass.
[Snipped. Ian]

You say Prince has not has a hit in 9 years.

I say he could not possibly want one because of the things he has been doing over the last three years.

1. Has not put out any music that would be played on commercial radio

2. Has not signed to a major record label.

3. Has not done interviews to promote the RC or anything he has done with the music club.

Now if you think those are the actions of someone who wants to have a hit record. I have got a bridge I want to sell you in Manhatten. Please contact me for the sale price.

Maybe Elvis had a hit in Europe but, he has not had a hit in the U.S for sometime. Maybe you can sit down with Elvis at the local BurgerKing and discuss the big comeback.
