Batdance was released. Don't know how well it did on the charts though.

Batdance
Partyman
Scandalous

are all I know of.

This album is cohesive and engaging, a solid, albeit derivative, Prince LP.

As I understand it, "Batdance" went to no. 1.

Officially released singles:

Batdance, with b-side 200 Balloons
Partyman, with b-side Feel U Up
Scandalous, with b-side When 2 R In Love (Lovesexy version)
The Arms of Orion, with b-side I Love U In Me
The Future, released as a 2-track remix cd containing remixes of The Future and Electric Chair

Also released:

Batdance maxi-single containing 2 remixes of Batdance and 200 Balloons
Partyman maxi-single containing 3 remixes of Partyman and Feel U Up (long stroke)
The Scandalous Sex Suite, a 5-track disc containing a three-part version of Scandalous (The Crime, The Passion, The Rapture), a non-album track Sex, and When 2 R In Love

Actually, for a nine-song album a lot of music came forth in the form of singles, remixes and b-sides.

Electric Chair is the best cut from this.

Scandalous is cheesy.
but "The Rapture" from 'The SSS' is the best version of that song.

top3 from Batman:

Electric Chair
Lemon Crush
Vicki Waiting

hon. mention:

Batdance
Partyman (video mix)

worst songs:

Arms Of Orion
The Future

'Batdance' released June 9 1989 reaching #1 in US.

'Batman: Motion Picture Soundtrack' album released June 20 1989 reaching #1 in US

'Partyman' released September 15 1989 reaching #18 in US

'The Arms of Orion' released October 16 1989 reaching #36 in US

'Scandalous' released November 28 1989. Did not chart in US 100.

You asked a similar question about 'Diamonds and Pearls': you can look up chart performance for Prince releases in the US here:

Other maxi-single and remix releases are detailed above. You can obtain comprehensive details in Uptown publications:

I was in my house the other day and suddenly the song Lemon Crush came into my head. It made me want to get the album out again.

I enjoyed this album. It wasn't ground breaking but it was a fun album!

In the UK I'm pretty sure that Batdance the album was a #1 and that batdance the single got to #2.

After that it's a bit more vague but my feeling is that Partyman made the Top10 or just outside and that Arms of Orion scraped into the Top30.

I dont think Scandalous got a widescale release & the remixes of The Future/Electric Chair were available on 12" vinyl.

In the U.K 'Batdance' was just kept off the top spot, 'Partyman' (i think) got 2 No.12. wink

'Batman: Motion Picture Soundtrack' album reached #1 on the UK albums chart on July 1 1989 and remained there for one week.

'Partyman' entered the UK singles top 40 on September 9 1989 at #20, peaking the following week at #14 before spending a further two weeks lower down the top 40 chart.
