My personal thoughts are that he feels the need to make a point for his own reasons. I agree with things that he has said like 'I'd rather believe they never did, I'd rather believe, There's hope for a kid...' (Race) I don't understand really, as I've not looked into the history, what this about, and I am wondering what purpose it serves to be getting in touch with it?

Evidently a Moor has been taking your money since you figured out what funk was. Pay attention and you might learn moor. What makes me laugh about this prince rambling is that he identifies that European civilisation came from the greeks, which came from the nile, which is Africa. It is funny isnt it? So where is the fucking problem? According to his words, Europe is an extension from africa. So unless some new race beamed down from space, the problems would be african based as well. Yeah right just like Bush inherited a fucked up economy from Clinton. It aint his fault shits all fucked up beyond belief. Prince seems to want to divide history into simple rights and wrongs, and try and make us feel sorry for small pockets of failed civilisation, which Larry says should rule the world! The funny thing is, Prince is using the term "Moors", which is a name given made up by the Greeks and Romans, which if my memory serves, translated to something like "the dark ones", refering to arabs and africans. So the man who doesn't like wrong names, is using one himself. He also missed out a very important point. The "Moors" invaded spain! Some time around 700AD, I can't remember the exact year. Whatever lesson Prince is taking, they are only giving him half the facts. Thats dangerous, particularly as he has an audience to influence. Lucky for us, most fans know his babble. He'd gain a lot more respect is he properly researched his facts, particularly on history outside the USA. . | |

He's just pointing out that much of Greek culture was derived from the Egyptians. The Romans in turn took on many aspects of the Greeks. This doesn't conflict with his over all point. Where he really is off base is holding the Moors up as an example of true African culture. There cutler was heavily influenced by the Arabs who had invaded northern Africa some 100 years earlier. If anything the Carthaginians being defeated by Rome, is the main reason African cutler doesn't play a major role in the western world today. Either way, this is hardly a subject most Prince fans care to hear him address. | |
