i just had a silly idea 4 a new prince album

i got the idea from his country joke on one of the ahdio shows and ween's country album

it would be alaugh if prince dia an album where each track was a tongue in cheek attempt at different genres, eg a country, a rap, a heavy rock a jazz etc etc

hes done similar things before as pointed out in another thread but a whole cd would both highlight his talents and be a light hearted giggle at the same time.

now while i fully expect many of you to flame me 4 this suggestion, i think it would be cool
so what do u think?

If the milk turns out to be sour i aint the kinda pussy to drink it!!

perhaps we could come up with our own genre compilation from existing trax, in the meantime

i always thought still waiting sounded pretty country
any other ideas

courtin time

a nice cheesy lounge ballad would be needed of course

He did "Can't Make u love Me" on Emancipation remember, and had a Bonnie Raitt cd sitting around during the 2000 celebration tours.

OTOH I usually find his style-mimicking songs as slightly-embarrassing album-filler. (Courtin' Time, Strollin etc.) E&F had a slight country feel I thought.

A lot of people thought ICNTTPOYM was a dig at all those crap eighties r&b-style pop tunes (Billy Ocean, Lionel Ritchie etc.): P saying - oh yeah, I can do that 2 - but then it would sound like this! It worked on that occasion.

Was I what u wanted me 2 b?

Then we would get an album like this:

1. wedding feast
2. courtin' time
3. jughead
4. orgasm
5. poom poom
6. my little pill
7. until you're in my arms again
8. cybersingle
9. silicon
10.graffiti bridge

This certainly would be THE BEST ALBUM EVER IN THE HISTORY OF HUMAN CIVILISATION. (tongue in cheek)
