Dear Mr. Howe

Given our desire to give Mr. Howe and the Estate input, let’s try to send a very focused message on what we want. They appear to have a plan on reissues, but they need our help on vault audio and video releases. Keep it to 3 per category and let’s keep it focused.

TOP 3 UNRELEASED MATERIAL

1. Black is the New Black (No brainer. His last album)

2. Box Set of Best Unreleased by Decade (70’s, 90’s, 00’s and 10’s. They are covering the 80’s. This is for hardcore fans and could be released online or as a nice box set only available via pre-order. I would pay $300 for something like this as long as the NPG Version of Love They Will be Done with Prince Vocals is on it)

3. Piano & Mic 4/7/16 (Both Shows. He said this show was “perfect” and was planning to release)

TOP 3 DVDS

1. Piano & Mic 1/21/16 (Both Shows)

2. The Second Coming (Raw and Uncut)

3. Box Set of DVD’s from Each Tour (Another deluxe box set that is available only via pre-order. No risk of losing money with preorders)

According to one of the band members, he knew of 8 tracks completed. And said it was really good material. That's my no 1 question. Have they found or even know about them? And when will they get realised

I'm all for 'Black is the New Black' and any other newer stuff. Personally, I don't want to even see his last tour (Piano & Microphone). It's hard for me to see him that way... so frail and obviously sick. Mybe I'd feel differently about the shows you mentioned.

.

How about a massive Sign O' The Times film release? Might be some legalities there, but a re-release of the film, with added bonus footage, etc?

.

Wonder if there's any studio footage of him recording... That would be incredible.

.

Original config of '20ten'.

.

Whatever album that was originally going to have "Rock & Roll Love Affair"... The Flaming graphics on his outfit and matching guitar at that time. I know it was released on HitnRun Phase 2... what about other songs we don't even know about?

.

The aborted "Welcome 2 America' album.

.

Any pro shot concerts that we don't have. I would go with nearly any era, but especially 1987-88, 2001, 2004, 2008, and 2010-11.

.

The finished 8 tracks would be amazing. During the celebration the engineer said they recently removed the 2 inch tape from the reel of the last song he recorded. They should definitely release that in its pure and unifnished firm, even if it is just a drum track or something.

I'd like to express my opinion, but it will fall on deaf ears, unfortunately. Mr. Howe has already said in interviews that he isn't concerned with outside opinions. So, I don't think he has the slightest interest in what we'd like to see released. He's on payroll from the "Estate", and the fact that he still has a job proves they are satisfied with his work. So, there is no motivation for him to care what we think.

.

So when the Estate administrators supposedly removed all the tapes (and films, videos, hard drives etc) from Paisley Park, they've left behind a 2" multitrack in the studio just because.
.
Unbelievable. What else did they left behind that's either still lying around somewhere inside Paisley or perhaps already has been taken by someone illegally? Pendrives? CD-Rs? Jaz disks? Optical discs? Hard drives? Any other audio or video tapes? Do the computers still have hard drives in them that potentially hold even just a demo Prince made? Have they examined ALL hard drives and other data formats for any creative work Prince left behind, such as lyrics, album configuration ideas, etc?

.

I had fears about all this ever since April 2016 but the more I learn the more worried I become.

Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.

You're right. Much better to keep pissing into the wind.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I hear you, but he is ultimately on payroll from us because we are the ones that will be buying the fruits of his labor. If they don't listen then we will buy less. If they do listen we are less likely to buy. I think that we would all be ecstatic and would empty our wallets if they released everything on my list within the next 5 years. Other fans have other great input that they can monetize. The point is that they have not really lstened to us yet. We have to keep knocking on their door.

I was floored by the comment. We were in Studio A and he told us that they found the tape on the reel in Studio A and it was his last recording session that they recently removed. Prince said that he always wondered what his last song would sound like because he remembers his first song. That tape is absolutely pricess and should have been identified immediately.

He said they removed it ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE THE CELEBRATION. He said it was a jam session with Adrian and others and that there was still tape list so he wasn't finished recording the track. So, I'm trying to be gentle with my original post, but they need our help. That tape of his last recording session should have never been left there for 3 freaking years. We need to stand up, organize and protect his legacy.

And why are you shouting? I understood, that's exactly why I'm outraged that it was left there that long – long after the reports of all media formats were taken to Iron Mountain. I am outraged and sad that this could've happened, and it makes me wonder what else was left behind instead of taken to safety and professionally archived.

I share your concerns. I'm shouting on that point because it is incredible to me that his very last recording session that involved multiple musicians was somehow missed for 3 years. I also wonder what else they missed. Prince did say that he had "vaults" in the plural.

Dear Mr. Howe:

I would like an upload of all the concerts he had on audio and video, available for purchase. Don't do a thing to them, or even better - just list what you have and how much you'd charge for a copy. I'll buy lots of them; 3 in particular.

Thank you in advance.

Nope. If the rumors are true and Prince had recordings of all or most all of his concerts, there is no possible way to release them all. So just make a list, charge me what you want, and I'll buy as many as I can afford.

There are 3 in particular that I want.
