Listen to Prince's interview with George Lopez in 2014 and see how the creator felt about the nature of the beast. Why was it Ok to pick a musician's pocket? At least when he was alive? Would you walk into someone's store and steal from them?

Idk why people compare pirating to stealing physical merchandise from a store, when song files are copies of an original recording. If someone broke into Paisley Park and stole a bunch of master tapes? Yeah, that'd be pretty fucked up. Distributing digital files that aren't even available for sale on any kind of market? You can argue about the ethics behind such a thing, but it's hardly 'stealing' in the sense you're arguing.

Did you watch that interview? He talked about bootlegging. Who said I was only talking about things that were not available for sale? And how did those get out there in the first place if Prince didn't release them? And people who worked for him DID steal his intellectual property when they were on the job, getting paid.

Y'all will justify and stay in denial forever, that's on you. Doesn't mean I'm not entitled to my opinion.
