Mjdatabank said to me two days ago "why are you always talking about charts ?"
While this is far from being true, I prefer talk about established things, cold facts, than to topics based only on personnally tastes.

This topic just prove how dushbag some orgers are. You don't have to be from a different opinion.
Even if many here said Delirious was too long, I was the only one attacked.
Why?
I just stated my opinions for godsake, and now the trolls here say "now you can't"
.
That just prove how stupid some here are, and these conversations are BS, useless and nonsense when you have to cope with narrow minded and obsessed fan.

When you state your opinion, that is just an opinion and that doesn't change the face of the world, and people act like trolls and dushbag, that just makes you think you shouldn't trust their tastes and that you re in the right camp

Regarding Automatic, while I do love the full-length version, I needed a shorter version to add to a Prince 'Best Of' comp that I'd put together. Rather than have fewer songs in their full versions, I opted for more songs, even if a few had to be pruned a bit. I was able to cut over four minutes off Automatic and I think that it still captures what's great about the track. Have a listen and judge for yourself! Deleted l'ange beu moderator

Very well done what you did with the first part (the official 'edit' version), but imo you left out the crucial part of the second half. I'd cut a part of that last third instead.

There is an official edit, why not use that one?

Isn't that pretty much impossible to find?
A certain kind of mellow.

I have it, and except for a very few promos all those Prince and related artists edits have been needledropped years ago. They're not too hard to find online if u know where to look, really.

Not if you really want it. It was an Australia-only single, but it's out there. Clocks just over 1/3 of the original. Oddly, the video clocks a minute shorter than the album version. It was only a 7" single that it was released on in the edited format, no cassingle, cassette, or 12".
