New leak: SBD recording of 8 March 2002 (a.m.), The Tralf, Buffalo, New York, USA

NO TROLL THREADS! NO SOLICITING FOR BOOTLEGS! Discussion is fine, so long as the bootleg is not being promoted e.g. pre-release; requests/offers to share or copy, and links to download or bootleg sites are not. Posting Prince and associated artist videos from sites such as YouTube is also not allowed. Posts of this nature will be deleted and repeat offenders will be first warned, and then banned. Troll threads, fake tracklists, and attention seeking rumor threads will be also be swiftly dealt with. These rules are strictly enforced!

****************************

A soundboard recording (though apparently with some incomplete tracks) of http://www.princevault.co...ch_2002-am has leaked...

.

The notes including with the leak also mention"the right channel was nearly non-existent and only contained random bursts of sound." and "The entire recording had about a hundred (100) silent dropouts."

That's a good era for a soundboard recording. Looking forward to listening.

Sorry but I don't think much to it all. Just a lot of silences and instrumental parts.

I'll probably give it another listen one day - or in a decade or two.

Previously available as an audience recording. This is really nice in soundboard. Even with the drop outs.

I really like it. Great song list, and especially like the sequence of Beautiful Strange, a wonderful Calhoun Square, a very interesting rendition of Dolphin, and a fun version of The Ride. Now if he only wouldn't tease so much with Paisley Park and then give up on it due to the audience not knowing the words, this would have been a slice of heaven.

I agree that it is funny and so much of a reflection of his personality. However, on repeated listens I imagine that at some point this will get old. I guess I just get frustrated that Paisley Park rarely gets a direct and full rendition with good audio quality. I know that is being picky, but I really love that song.

Never quite liked this band.

Technically they're good, but that's about it.

...lack of soul and warmth imho.

-

thanks anyway. smile

I think P was stuggling with the lyrics himself on PP and disguised it well by shifting to the crowd, he was good at doing that.

That's actually called craftmanship.

Then again ;

How many songs did he wrote ? Recorded ?

How many lyrics has he written ?

No need to defend Prince as he wasn't being attacked. He was human and more flawed in a lot of ways than most of us. EVERYONE forgets lyrcis. It's not a character flaw and it wasn't being treated as such in this case.

I used to be member of a site that had a lot of Prince bootleg recordings, but unfortunately I no longer have access because I lost my login credentials. It is a shame as the amount of content on that site was MEGA! I wish I could find a place like that again. neutral
