I like those 1999 tour extended versions where he would sometimes stretch the storyline a bit or come up with a different ending every now and then.

1 of the few songs where I dig all of the versions. Even the odd PR Tour version was awesome. (The walking away from the piano bit was dumb, but not the worst thing he could do.)
