Prince mentioned in Kris Humphries article in The Player´s Tribune

Funny little Prince mention in Kris Humphries article in the Player´s Tribune where the ex-NBA player from Minnesota talks about the aftermath of his shortlived marriage with Kim Kardashian and the divorce.

Nothing major, really, but I thought it´s worth sharing.

I didn´t know that he used to live very close to Paisley Park.

A short story in a very long article should be ok to quote:
"I know most people probably think I grew up in Los Angeles or something, but I actually grew up on a lake in Minnesota, about 10 minutes away from Paisley Park. So we’d see the legend around all the time. Honest to God, I used to go to the grocery store with my dad, and there’d be this stretch limo quadruple-parked right in front of the store. I’d always see this little kid walking around the cereal aisle wearing a purple suit with like 10 bodyguards.
Like all the time.
Finally, one day I said, “Dad, who’s that kid?”
And my dad said, “What are you talking about?
I said, “That kid over there with the Cap’n Crunch.”
And he said, “What? That’s Prince.”
He used to be roaming around all the time. It was no big deal. People wouldn’t even really bother him. That was Minnesota."
Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

I wonder if Kris and Prince ever met and talked later, after Kris was all grown-up and in the NBA.

He seems like a very likeable, hardworking and nice person to me. I always felt a little bit sorry for him after all he had to go through for falling in love with Kim and I often wondered if never meeting her in the first place would have changed his career path for the positive.

And I also think that Kris and I both personally know a certain person who works for the Phoenix Suns....but´s that is a different topic. lol

.

I wonder how Prince felt about a fellow Minnesotan in the NBA who had to go through all that nonsense back then.

They did meet backstage at his concert... As a matter of fact Kris was at the Welcome To America concerts with Kim Kardashian, the infamous clip of when Prince kicked her off stage.

Of course... Prince is famous for having spent his days walking around the cereal aisle, with boxes of Cap'n Crunch in his hands. Like ALL THE TIME. And surrounded by 10 bodyguards, although people in Minnesota wouldn't even really bother him. And "honest to God", this dude saw him around ALL THE TIME. Okay...
Sounds like there's no exaggeration in that story at all. It's all so credible.

Friends don't let friends clap on 1 and 3.
