I will say that it seems, based on a YT video by a guy who worked at PP briefly in the mid 90's, that Prince's crew were not always careful with how they disposed of his old stuff. The guy was given an old notebook, with what appeared to be Prince's handwritten notes for a film script, by his friend who also worked at PP and was asked by Duane Johnson to throw it away. He sold it sometime later because he needed money for music equipment. Prince's lawyers sent him a letter threatening a law suit, but the guy had legal help and once his attorney responded there was no further action.

Mathuis ( lenny kravitz manager) told me the notebook came from an ex girlfriend from high school, not from Nadeera , she was another girl ( who wrote the break up note)

Just a thought on an ex-girlfriend from HS having the notebook. Seems that the time period for the notations would have been just after his first record, which was 1978, so he would have been out of high school for two years. Hmmm...guess some of the girls from HS were still in the mix s he was movin' on up then

Susan Moonsie and Kim Upsher dated him in High School and they stayed in touch even after HS.

These are awesome. These provide more insight into him than most of the previous notebook pages that I’ve seen, which mostly just have finished lyrics to released songs. These have songs lyrics/poems I’ve never heard of before, drawings, etc. very cool.

They should be in Paisley Park, imo. That or the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. But putting them up on the .Org is pretty cool for us fans (although not sure if it devalues them).

In Nadira's break up letter it's quite hard to work out, but does it say she's heard rumors about "Gayle & you". As in Gayle Chapman, I'm thinking that would fit!
