I see why he went full religious in the later decades. Risque' is one thinbg, especially when you're young. But in a shower in briefs with a CROSS? No wonder folks around the way felt he was evil.

I haven’t seen this pic. Is the cross around his neck, like jewelry? Or are we talking a full size cross?? Pic if you have it.

The poster from Controversy as Pete posted. C'mon now.

Yes I’ve seen it. I think the poster must have had the cross cropped out
But Im guessing if it wasn’t cropped it wasn’t shocking in my kid head cause I guess I had seen plenty
Of guys wearing speedos with crucifix’s around their necks at the beach.
I guess adults see more dirt than kids do. That was my kid thinking at the time.
But your right I had seen it.

All my Official LP's , too a friend that I haven't spoken to in a few years. I gave them away, as I had them on CD!

It’s ok not offended.
When you all were discussing the poster before it sounded outrageous
So I couldn’t recall what that would be.
Honestly in the home I grew up in, no one was gonna hang half naked stuff on the wall exception being Jesus.
Thanks for the help it really is the most young and most old that need help remembering sometimes babies and old people.... and I’m not a baby so thanks for the help recalling.

I put all my tour t-shirts in a bag for the charity shop in 2013. About 20-30 of them, they were just taking up space and didn't fit me anymore - some were well worn, some were brand new. I totally regret doing that.

I put mine on Teddy Bears & decorate them with his old school picture buttons.

Good for you. Mine got thrown in a charity bag some years ago, and my teddies aren't big enough anyway.

My original RollingStone Magazine with Prince on the front from Purple Rain.

Many moons ago I was purging, and tossed numerous RollingStone magazines and I regret this decision.

Stuff you once owned that you just threw away? And now you regret throwing away.

I remember a few years back I was sorting my CDs and I saw my One Night Alone Live Box. I figured no value, just takes up space. So I threw away the box and just kept the CDs. Now I see prices people are getting for the whole box and it makes me say "ouch."

I know there was others I owned like vinyl and such but that box just stood out for me.

Y'all?

I don't think I've thrown a darn thing away! biggrin razz lol Wait a minute, I think I did throw a few "Right On!" Magazines away before knowing he was going to be a Superstar... mad lol lol

I have never thrown anything Prince away. However, I have a friend who is a DJ with connections in LA. During a gathering with record industry people, he was given two golden vinyl 'The Gold Experience' records. One was the 'I Hate U' remixes and the other was remixes of songs from the CD. He decided to give me both of them and so he gave them to his wife to give to my wife. Well, she left them in the car with the heat and they melted. I hate her but I love her.....

serious? i'm sure that would have been worth a lot to a collector. my bro has a cheap knockoff vinyl that is obviously bootleg, we got it at the lovesexy concert, i got a tape, some guy was walking the line and selling them.

The only thing(s) I think I actually threw away were my magazines, including most of the Uptown editions. eek

I'd love to have them back now!

As far as things I've sold or given away . . . Batman black canister, gold-box Love Symbol CD, one of the gold prince pins from 1992 with the little purple "jewel" in the center.

The Tamborracca that I bought for 50 bucks that now goes for upwards of 500 bucks, ouch! Batman ST in the "Batcan" cd holder from Tower. A huge custom Prince Graffitti Bridge Tower records sign made out of foamcore. Sighhhhh

One more: a giant (I think subway-size?) poster of Diamonds And Pearls. It was HUGE - I bought it on spring break that year in Myrtle Beach and had to try to get it home (driving) without wrecking it.

I think it was 4 feet x 6 feet or something close to that. It was the blue-tone artwork.

I know, it seems silly now with hindsight, but I was having a clearout and knew that if I didn't put them in those bags with the rest of the stuff for charity, that I'd just end up not selling them and they'd be sat there for another x amount of decades. There were about 5 New ones never worn, mostly from the early nineties. The one I regret most was well worn, a crop top with P Sat on a chair with head bowed. I loved that top, and I've not seen it for sale on the usual sites since he died.

Didn’t exactly throw out, but when i moved out my parents house they also moved, and in the process threw out Quite a lot of stuff, some of which can’t be replaced:(

similar thing happened to me.. parents had some stuff in storage in the UK , so i put some stuff in there also, i went overseas for a few years, when I came back i asked them what about the storage and they had no clue what i was even talking about..

they'd even forgotten they had it, so likely it was just sold or auctioned off at the storage place sad someone got some bargains

old vinyl, cd's magazines etc...

The only Prince stuff I've thrown away are magazines that I bought that had articles about him, and a small white refrigerator magnet with the symbol in purple on it.

This and 1 or 2 other pastel drawings of Prince i did when i was at school back in 1991.

It was pretty big (around 1.2m tall) and was starting to get a bit faded and ragged around the edges so i took a photo and chucked it.

Bad move!
