Love 4 one another - What Does That Mean To You

Love 4 one another, Prince preached it.

What does this mean to you? Do you truly practise this in your daily life towards others?

Do you even practise this on the org towards other orgers?

Definately something to attain to. And something that has to be continually refined, pruned, cultivated etc

Respect and Love are two different things though lol I suspect Prince was coming from a 'biblical' ideal.

I know I always try to live it in my life and online, but I do fall short sometimes online if I'm having a bad day and lose my patience with someone. For the most part, though, I think I do a fairly good job of exhibiting Love4OneAnother for everyone I meet.

Means to love your neighbor as yourself. Who is your neighbor? Every human on the face of the earth is, as we are all created in His image. No exceptions.

Peace, out.

You might have to give me a moment I watched an episode of that RK doc last night. I guess I can honestly say on one hand I'm feeling great love, it's the other hand that's a problem right now. Working through it is all I can say.

My Favorite Verse in the Bible...

John 13:34-35

(NIV)

34 “A new command I give you:

Love one another.

As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples,

if you love one another.”

'

Everybody wants to be loved,

but do we KNOW HOW to LOVE ?

It is there, though. Like a little voice in the back of my mind, so yeah.

Kinda disappointed more orgers didn't give their thoughts. I think Seahorsie said it best. To add to that, we don't have to agree with someone's lifestyle, decisions, actions or opinions to still show love. We can agree to disagree, respecting that we all come from unique backgrounds and have unique events in our lives that effect our lifestyle, opinions, etc. We can respect that everyone has value and deserves to be treated fairly and with kindness. If we have the means we can help less fortunate with monetary donations. If we are unable in that way, we can give a smile, hold the door, give a compliment, let someone ahead of us in line. We need to treat others how we want to be treated. If you just can't do that, the least we can do is what my mom always told me, "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".

Pretty hard, if not impossible concept to put in practice as long as capitalism
defines our very lives, jobs, loves and relationships.

The underlying competition found in almost every aspect of modern life
makes it antinomic. Prince fans know better and seem to be more educated
when it comes to the matters of the Soul, but good luck bringing that to the real "another",
which I think is the whole point. What's the use of preaching it to someone who's already a believer?

"Love 4 one another" between fans comes pretty easy.
"Love your enemies" is a very different challenge.
