When will we know all the contents of the vault?

When !!? Please!!...and..and what can there be in it?

let's speculate and if anyone knows something else ... wink

A few days ago I saw this:

Patrick D. Shaffer‏ @patrickdshaffer

There is said to be a tape of D’Angelo at @PaisleyPark singing Untitled with Prince on the guitar.... #Vault #Rumor

-We know there are unreleased albums with the Revolution, the NPG, 3rd Eye Girl and solo

-Unreleased songs/jams/possibly albums with Miles Davis , Stevie Wonder , Lenny Kravitz, Sheena Easton, Lisa Lisa, Terence Trent D´Arby...

-Unreleased films

-A LOT of Live video & audio material

-We have seen some titles in the photos of the vault in the photos of Carver County Sheriff Office

-Xtended versions of classics like Adore ...

What else?

Interesting about extended or longer versions of songs we know, I think he was a great editor early on, and most, if not all of his edits were spot on (full length Computer Blue should of been a 12", also Delirious maybe), later on around Emancipation some of the songs coulda done with editing down, the longer Gold Exp songs add nothing really and were nicely shortened. Im not blown away by the long 17 Days as some are. That's why future vault releases will be 'interesting' as many would of been edited down if released when Prince was around. PR Deluxe disk 3 proves this, great to hear them, but Prince would of edited them for release. But similar to the James Brown postumous releases they are always the longest version available including count ins etc, again it's all great but James was a brutal editor and was a master of the short 2.30-3.00 single edit. I suppose it's the diffference between the man of the street version vs the hardcore version! - the long version isn't always the best choice for the commercial release.

If they ever just release a LIST of assembled titles the Org is going to go bonkers for about six weeks.

I’d love to see the two super early Capri shows from 78.

Plus all the Dirty Mind through 1999 outtakes.

Some amazing jazz work

You'll find the best most heavy tracks that the Revolution recorded,

the ones that we thought were too far gone back in the 80s

you'll find the more psychodelic rock version of the Time

you'll find the really erotic Prince

the really erotic sensual Prince

you'll find the future

.

Kurt: What's going to happen to all that stuff? Will it ever come out? ...

.

Oh yes, I'll give it away...

My usual smart ass response for that question has been...when hell freezes over. However, since we are living in the time that Prince is dead and gone and Donald Trump is President of the United States of America. Clearly, Satan has bundled up and learned how to fucking ice skate. So I just honestly do not KNOW about any damn thing...anymore. shrug

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I'm sure I won't know the entire contents of the Vault in my lifetime, but I'm thankful for the leaks that I've heard in the last few years.

Having said that, I can see why some songs were unreleased and others were given to other artists.

One song that is neither good-nor-bad IMO is "Come Home". It's pretty generic by Prince standards.
