Hi Penny, I looked and at the bottom of the post it says 'posted 5 days ago'. I wish Instagram would give the actual dates for posts made, but seems like it's always the 'posted X days ago' instead. Hope this helps.

Yeah I seen that, but it was 5 days ago from when? I'm curious if it's recent, because why all of a sudden are they talking about Prince's death? I even went to TMZ's website and there is nothing posted recently about Prince.

I'd always assumed it meant from today's date, so in this case 5 days ago from today, Oct 15, 2018. For ex: the first post (currently) on TMZ's Insta about Margot Robbie says "posted 4 hours ago". As for why they're bringing up Prince now so seemingly randomly, I couldn't even begin to guess. who knows with TMZ?

I'm burnt out, will not be viewing this. Until the major dangling questions are answered I'm done critiquing if folks got the facts right and whatnot. I think I'm actually watching people loose their grip on things because of this stuff. I hope not but I'm seriously wondering.

Disagree. There are no congratulations to hand out in reporting the death of what was, arguably, one of the world's best musicians to ever live. It's a reflection back to that day. It's who found out and how, and then how they reacted. We've all shared those stories, and none of us were arguing over who found out first or put it on the Org first.

The point-person on the TMZ tape seemed truly rattled and called Prince a God.

Take from it what you will. I took they were patting themselves on the back for breaking it first.

.

It's TMZ ffs, the lower colon of 'showbiz news'.

I don't think you question has been answered. I already accepted the fact that over the years more and more will probably be revealed about his life and who he truly was, some good and some bad.

it's very brief & quite emotional. Appreciate that TMZ is bloody awful in it's ethos but this was respectful & obviously emotionally impactful on them.

Yeah, I think the video is there for social media engagement (it's obviously getting views) and isn't mean to be braggadocious.

Also, people shit on TMZ but if you want the truth, that's where you go to find it. The Enquirer or Star etc are gossip rags. They make shit up. TMZ finds the truth. They have broken major stories in the press and will print the truth. They'll also correct themselves, not draw on photos of cum coming out of people's mouth (a la Perez Hilton) or just attack a person for the sake of it (TheDirty, Perez Hilton). And to their credit, they blurred Prince's image on those police videos. Even some major TV news networks did not do that, which I remember being shocking here on the Org. It shocked me when I saw NBC or whoever show his body without a blur over it.

FUNKNROLL

I won’t click and look. Aren’t these the same folks that tailed him shortly after the moline plane landing? Taking photos of him parked at Walgreens and shortly ainterviewing the employees?

All the while knowing his life was in danger but instead tailed him within 500 ft, and taking photos up to the outcome? They had a hand in this.

Put down the camera. Approach with respect and find words to say “I’m worried about you. Do you feel safe? How can I help?”

No. They took photos and posted his downward spiral online. Now they want to look back? No.

Nah, they didn't have a hand in it. Those close to him are the ones who didn't do anything until the very last second.

Truth Penny! Why should that be TMZ's responsibility? How about friends/family/girlfriends? People who were in his life and suppose to care about this man's wellbeing? This whole story is tragic in more ways than one.

That's cute and all but it's unrealistic and it is catastrophic language which helps no one. If he wasn't listening to Kirk or Judith Hill or Mayte (who alleged touched base with him only a few weeks prior as did Sheila E), why would he listen to a random satellite reporter for TMZ?? Logic is everyone's biggest friend here.

I know everyone is still trying to pin Prince's demise on someone other than Prince, but it certainly is not TMZ's fault he died the way every other rock star does - by an overdose of drugs. He was taking pills way before TMZ ever existed. Don't fool yourselves in this.
