The thing you should be aghast about is that there are Prince tribute bands. So ridiculous, no matter how good they play. All Prince trobute bands or singers come off as PARODY not tribute imho.

If the quality is what I saw from Purple Reign about 10 years ago, it was definitely NOT ridiculous. At that time Purple Reign did Prince acts and Morris Day acts and the show was VERY good. And I was a LONG time fan at that point. (decades). It wasn't a parody at all; the vocals and instrumentation were very well done. Now 10 years later, I don't know. But, I'm planning to see them again soon, so I'll find out. But I figured I'd let you know it most certainly didn't use to be a "parody" of any sort.

I saw them in Vegas, some years back. I remember them being ok, nothing compared to the real thing of course, but it was a decent enough evening. Preferred the UK tribute act, Purple Rain.

I'm starting to rethink whether I'm going to see this act again!

When I went years ago, it was a full house. There was plenty of crowd participation and there were a lot of fast numbers and a lot of manic "Prince" stage presence. These slow songs are not appealing at all... to me.

I have seen them a few times, usually a blast! Never saw them do anything other than PR soundtrack though. BUT They are in Sin City, and Erotic City is a seriously naughty so it makes sense.

This was the guy that Omarr had fronting his New Power Soul group. Never heard anything more about it after all the outrage over it

I was about to type, "meh," but I gotta admit that the manner in which they mixed "Irresistible Bitch" seamlessly into "Erotic City" is nice...not great but definitely nice. As for the cheesiness of it all, that's to be expected of any "tribute" band.
