Untitled second Vanity 6 album

I'm curious about the second vanity 6 album, which Prince himself mentioned in an interview several years ago.We know of at least two songs recorded for this project: "Sex Shooter" and "Vibrator".I wonder what other tunes were intended/considered for the project.Princevault lists these tracks:

"Sex Shooter"

"Vibrator"

"Promise To Be True"

"Velvet Kitty Cat"

"Moral Majority"

"G-Spot"

"Wet Dream Cousin" (a tentative title because of its similarity to "Wet Dream")

Not Susannah, Susan Moonsie... confuse
the reply was to the gif of Susan Moonsie on the 1999 tour and Prince's moves in some of his videos during the 1999 era

Yes, there are some natural moves by Susan that I swear Prince picked up from her, that you see him doing from 1999 onward. I think of her Drive Me Wild video moves and his Little Red Corvette stuff

I wonder why, back then,I never saw the "Let's Pretend We're Married" video anywhere and the song wasn't played on the radio in my area hmmm I get that the song is VERY nasty (lol) but the most shocking lines were not even on the single version. It was the fourth and final single from 1999 but it was totally ignored.Any ideas why?

Even without the lyric, "Marcia, I sincerely want to fuck the taste out of your mouth" (I love that lyric!!), I think the song meaning was just to blatant. It was not innuendo like Soft and Wet or LRC.

One thing is certain....this man had S-E-X on the brain during this era biggrin Very typical for a guy in his early 20's, and he was going for the shcok value too.

Piince defintiely refined the look from The Hookers to Vanity 6. I'm sure the professional photography helped too though. It was all still very amateurish when he was first planning the girl group. But Vanity 6 is definitely more of the "high class call girl" look vs the Hookers "street corner girl" look smile

So funny that Prince would write this into the song, because Robin Power, in that 1993 interview that she did for a magazine exposing the "sexcapades" of the NBA players, stated that Princee's "tootstie roll" (as he liked to call it) was 7 or 71/2 inches - can't remember which. Still cannot believe she actually put that on the record to a reporter, but then again....she talked about everything in that interview eek

"Jill entered into our picture, to sing back up for us. Prince painted her up to resemble Marilyn Monroe. He asked her to dye her hair and at first she hated it. She had an incredible voice, singing like a bird perched in a flower tree. Yet I don’t believe that Prince used her talents to their fullest capabilities. How could anyone blame him though, he handled so many projects at one time.
She stood behind the black laced curtain and sang for Susan. Susan didn’t sing at all. However Susan crooned to a rap like nobody’s business. She gave the boys something to scream about out there on stage. They fell in love with her long shiny black hair and her adorable little face. She was all of five feet tall and everywhere she went men carried her luggage for her."

Interesting is one way to put it eek Yes, I have read some of the old threads with her comments and pictures. Honestly, I can't understand what Prince was thinking with bringing her into the mix. Well, he was thinking with something other than his head I guess, like the NBA players and other dudes. I think he was so set on trying to find a 90's version of the V6/A6 group that he compromised a lot for it. I saw a video of one of the "Uptown Dames" songs....awful, just awful. And the video that Anna Garcia (aka Fantastic) posted on YT of her trio dancing and lip syncing to Fantasia Erotica.....awful - the equivalent of high shcool girls trying out for the talent show. And then Carmen E....very pretty, great body but....singer/performer?? NO. They all came and went, along with his plans for another successful girl group.

That's a complex statement though.....power over what, and in what way? Sexual power over men is only one type of power, and it doesn't last. Men who succumb to sexual power usually move on to the next one that catches their eye - Prince being a prime example of this. But, no doubt, it can get men to do things for you. Prince sang about the lust/sex weakness of men trough V6 but also in many of his songs - Sexy MF, Pussy Control, 319 etc..

Compromised what, exactly? So, he wanted a 90s version of Vanity6, so what?

How did Robin come into the camp?

I think she was more of a replacement of Cat than anyone, but couldn't touch Cat.

With all the low budget attempts in 1990. I still wish he would have at least gave it a go... maybe.
When 1986 ended the Dream Factory the purple kingdom was never the same.
